WHY DONATE?

Approximately 1/3 of individuals who are deemed palliative (curative treatments are no longer possible) would be candidates for hospice care. In Saskatoon, this translates to over 600 people per year, not including family members who become full-time caregivers and also benefit from hospice services. We are only scratching the surface with the numbers of people that we are currently able to serve.

Prairie Hospice is the only organization in our community providing hospice service at this time.

One of our great attributes is our nimble and agile ability to respond to the needs of people in our community. We are very thoughtful in our provision of services yet we are not weighed down by excessive bureaucracy and red tape. Virtually any funds donated to us go to the training of our volunteers and the provision of our services.

We are not funded by any level of government. We need your support to continue to successfully serve our community.

Thank you for your interest and support.
